Vegan Cranberry Pear Chutney

Units Scale
  • 4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Bosc pears, peeled and cut into small dice
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1 cup golden raisins
  • 2 Tbs fresh lime juice


  1. In a large saucepan, heat the cranberries, brown sugar and water over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn down and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the berries start to pop. This will take about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the raisins, jalapeño pepper, pears and lime juice and gently stir to mix.
  4. Simmer for another 5 minutes and remove from heat.
  5. Allow too cool.
  6. Refrigerate in a covered container.
